Literacy Plus Package
With this package includes:
- 1x Author/Illustrator Visit (taking place within the Autumn Term)
- Writing Competition (taking place within the Spring Term)
- Poetry Slam Competition (taking place within the Summer Term)
- 3x VR Literacy Experiences taking place at The Hive in Darlington Library
For author/illustrator visit, writing competition and the poetry slam competition, our events team will contact you directly to arrange times and dates.
For VR Literacy Experiences, you book via Eventbrite after purchase. There are 2 options to choose from at checkout:
Option 1: Visual Fairy Tales
A discussion of some young classics inlcuding Hansel & Gretel, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red riding Hood and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Each book will be discussed and talked about before entering into a virtual world to explore the scenes for themselves. Recommended for ages KS1
Option 2: Virtual Literacy Stimulation
Using a mix of virtual videos and scenes, pupils will be stimulated by experiencing topics such as animals, space, historical settings etc. Recommended for ages KS2 - KS3.
